Abiding Embodiment
What is Abiding Embodiment?
Abiding Embodiment is a practice that I created to help point others to Christ and grow in their relationship with him. The reason I wanted ot create this is because I have been a yoga teacher since 2019 and I am currently a yoga therapist in training. I love the practice of yoga, I think it’s beneficial both physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Still, it is not Jesus centered, and that is something that has honestly kinda of bothered me my entire time I have practiced yoga.
For years, I have been praying and having this tug in my heart to create something that would benefit God’s people while also honoring him. I finally put it all in God’s hands and released my fears about creating something new, but also familiar to some. Then Abiding Embodiment was born. So what is it?
Abiding Embodiment is a gentle Christ centered somatic practice where we explore sacred rest, mindful movement, and prayer through the body. This isn’t a workout. It’s not traditional yoga. It’s a space to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with the presence of God through your body, breath, and creativity. No special skills or equipment needed, just you, as you are.
I shared this practice for the first time live on my Twitch stream not too long ago, and then I turned it into a YouTube video for others to share and enjoy. My hope and prayer is that these sessions touch the hearts and minds of believers and nonbelievers and get them to at least consider God.
Here is a link to the video. I hope you all watch it and leave me some feedback in the comments under the video. God bless you all!
